What was the first adventure you went on with your SoftRack?

I keep it in the truck for any emergency 2x4 pickups at home depot, but mostly I use it to store my cross-country skis in my underground storage because it looks so cool and makes me seem sporty and athletic.

Tell us about your experience using the SoftRack.

It installs in a few min. First time is the hardest but once the system is figured out, it's gravy. I like how it's soft.

Explain your rating above.

My car is huge. If the rack was a few inches longer/wider, it could put up more skis and look a little more awesome. Overall this size is great cuz it also fit on my Acura without hanging off the side. Downside I cannot install a snowboard bindings down because it's not high enough off the roof. I have improvised a spacer block but it's not as good looking as the rack.

What was the first adventure you went on with your SoftRack?

My three sons gifted me with a kayak for Father's Day. While I drove my kayak around town one day in August, the gift did not come with adequate time for me to find water yet. Driving around town was not much of an adventure, but it did feel good to have it on my car and to look as if I actually know how to use a kayak

Tell us about your experience using the SoftRack.

I like all of the features. I only used it once, so it was a "taking out of the box and figuring it out" type experience. It will take no time at all in the future. I also like the tie-down straps that I bought separately so that I can strap it down easily. Maybe you sell them too, but my car had very little to use for attaching straps.

Explain your rating above.

It not only fits perfectly with the make of my car, but it also allows for easy removal and storage when not in use. I like that it is so little in terms of weight and hardware, yet can be versatile in carrying many different loads.

What was the last adventure you went on with your SoftRack?

Kayaking at Hoover Dam! (In Columbus - not the famous one ;))

Tell us about your experience using the SoftRack.

So far it's been great! So easy to set up - probably 20-25 mins total, plus some extra tugs on the ropes to make sure it's secure. I can get very anxious driving in case my kayak slips out so I avoid the highway and have gone up to 55 mph. If I took it on the highway I would probably just use some front & back tie downs and I'm sure it would be fine!

Explain your rating above.

It fits great on my car! I think the pads can be appropriately spaced out on top, the compartment in my kayak is exactly where my antenna is, and I can pull it very tight so it's secure!
